Juicy Oasis Terms & Conditions

Please find below our terms and conditions for Juicy Oasis. Please read them carefully and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Covid Cancellation/Refund Policy

During the Covid 19 crisis and it’s impact on travel, we are implementing the following policy which supersedes our normal Cancellation/Refund Policy Below:

If Portugal is put on the travel ‘red’ list within 10 days of your retreat start date, we will either: a) Defer your place, so all funds paid are transferred to an alternative week in the next 12 months, or b) You can receive a full refund of all monies paid.

If Portugal is put on the travel ‘amber’ list within 10 days of your retreat start date, we will defer your place, so all funds paid are transferred to an alternative week in the next 12 months. Please note, you would not be eligible for a refund as the retreat will remain open for all those guests able to quarantine and also for our non UK based guests.

General Cancellation/Refund Policy

We highly recommend holiday insurance for all clients and this should be purchased immediately following your booking with us. This must be bought independently as it is not included in the retreat price.

If for whatever reason you need to cancel your retreat place after you have booked with us, we will require full confirmation in writing and the following refund policy will apply:

Any promotional inclusions (such as products offered) will be deducted from any refund if applicable.

Once your booking is confirmed, you have a full 24hrs to cancel and obtain a full refund. (We must be notified via email during this time.)

It is guests’ responsibility to check your booking details within your initial confirmation message (i.e dates, room type and number of guests) If there is an error, please reply to the team as soon as possible within your 24 hour cooling off period.

After this period the following conditions will apply:

A full refund minus 5% admin charge will be provided for all cancellations up to 90 days prior to start day of the booked retreat.
A 50% refund will be provided on cancellations between 60-89 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
A 30% refund will be provided on cancellations between 30-59 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
No refund will be provided on cancellations between 29-0 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat.

No refund/credit will be provided for premature leaving of the retreat or failure to arrive at the retreat for any reason.

For this reason, we always advise strongly that all guests take adequate travel/holiday insurance to cover themselves incase of any eventuality.

Should you not arrive at the retreat before 09.00 on Monday and should you fail to notify us in writing that you will be arriving late, we will assume you are not attending and we therefore have the right to release your room/Super pod/Eco pod, to another guest. This is of course unless we have received written confirmation explaining when you will arrive and in this situation the room/Super pod/Eco pod will of course continue to be reserved for you until your arrival.

No refund will be provided for only part of a booking, for example if a room is booked for two guests who are sharing and one guest is unable to attend, the booking would need to be cancelled as a whole for the above refund policy to apply.  For guests sharing with friends and paying separately, if one of the guests in the twin room cancels either 1) the remaining guest will be required to upgrade to single occupancy for the room/eco pod 2) the remaining guest will need to find a replacement guest to twin share with 3) the name on the booking to be cancelled could be changed at no additional cost.

No refund will be provided for any room downgrades, after the 24hrs from the point of booking has elapsed.

Please note that the above conditions will not apply if your booking has been made following a COVID -19 deferral (Any original booking arranged between March-June 2020). In these circumstances only, if the Coronavirus situation is still uncertain near your re-booked dates, you would be welcome to move the booking again without any of the usual admin fees applying, providing there are more than 14 days ahead of your booking.

If paying via instalments, the above conditions will apply based on the entire price of your booking and not just on any instalments paid.

Balances will be due 6 weeks ahead of the stay.

All final retreat payments are due 30-days prior to the start date of the booked retreat, unless otherwise specified. Please note that any late payments may incur additional fees. Clients whose balances are not received by the 30-day deadline, risk forfeiting their retreat booking. We will try and contact you via email and telephone, but if we have not received any written communication from you and the balance payment has still not been received by this stage, your booking will be cancelled and any deposits paid will not be refunded.

Use of credit or debit cards will not incur a surcharge if payments are cleared in full at the time of booking.

Changing weeks

If you would like to change your booking week more than 59 days before the start date of your booked week, this is possible, however this will incur a £50pp per week administration charge per booking plus any difference in the rate of the new room booking (if applicable). If you are looking to change weeks less than 60 days before the start date of your booked week, the above cancellation policy will apply.

Our right to refuse or cancel your booking or request that you leave the retreat

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your booking (and/or any accompanying guests), or request that you (and/or any accompanying guests) leave the retreat, if we deem your actions or behaviour unacceptable or offensive to others. This includes, but is not limited to; being intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, abusive, threatening, racist or inciting acts of violence either verbally, written or in person.  We will not tolerate bullying, racism or verbal or physical abuse to other guests or our team.  If we receive multiple written or verbal complaints from other guests or our team about your language or behaviour, our retreat team have the right to warn you that any further incidents will result in us requesting you to leave the retreat. No refund will be issued for the remaining retreat stay. Our team will assist you in arranging a transfer.

Payments at retreat

Please note that payment for items at the retreat; such as treatments, items purchased from the shop or purchases from the Saturday cafe, etc., can only be paid for by debit or credit card or Euros. (Please note we do not accept American Express.)

If The Retreat Has To Close For Any Reason

If the retreat has to close for whatever reason we will inform you as soon as possible and we will hold all funds paid as a credit to be redeemed against a future retreat booking with us within 12 months of the retreat closure. Juicy Oasis will not pay for any loss with flights or other costs associated with travel to the retreat that may be lost as a result of the retreat closing.

Promotions and Discounts

If you have a promotion or gift voucher please telephone or email to book your place and redeem your discount.  Please note that any purchased gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Discounts and supplements may vary from time to time and Juicy Oasis can alter these at anytime.

Any promotions that offer ‘Gift Pack’ deals may require a shipping charge to be added for any items delivered to a non-mainland UK or Portugal address. This shipping charge will be advised prior to the pack being sent.

Flights and Transfers

Flights must be booked independently, following confirmation of your retreat stay with one of our bookings team. If booking online, please await direct confirmation from the team before booking any flights.

Passport Validity:
We advise all guests travelling from all countries to please consult your local government/Flight provider requirements regarding passport validity and ensure you have enough time remaining on your passport prior to travel.    (There have been significant changes for UK guests since Brexit, so please ensure you are not caught out by these as most travel insurers will not cover your trip for these reasons. Please don’t rely on the expiry date printed on your passport, as this may be inaccurate so we recommend to check the date of issue /expiry and that your passport is not older than 10 years at time of travel).

Transfers from Lisbon airport to the retreat and back are available at an additional cost from our 3rd party specialist Travel Agent in Lisbon, and is with a group we have trusted and worked with for years now. Please be aware that if you decide to book your transfers through the 3rd party, your flight details will be required by the Tuesday before your departure at the latest. This is to ensure that your transfers can be organised with our transfer company. Please note that failure to do so may result in waiting extended periods of time for the next available group transfer or having to organise any-time transfers at an additional cost to yourself through the 3rd party.

Guests are welcome to arrange their own method of transport such as a taxi, instead of arranging transfers with our 3rd party specialist. Please note however that taxis can cost approximately €220 for the one way journey to Lisbon, therefore the rates that the transfer company agree are incredibly competitive and the best we have found.

Clients who book transfers independently will need to take full responsibility for their transfers but as a word of warning, the retreat is located in a remote area and people arriving on independent transfers often get lost and charged more for the journey.

After this time, no refunds will be available for cancelled transfers as the Portuguese transfer company will still require payment for 'no shows'.

Please note when booking transfers, that all of our transfers (GROUP and PRIVATE ANY TIME) can accommodate 1 x suitcase and 1 x one hand luggage bag per guest only. If you are planning on bringing more baggage than this, please inform our team prior to booking transfers as you may require a larger vehicle which may incur additional costs. If you do not inform us, we cannot guarantee that the vehicle will be large enough for both guests and baggage; it will be up to you to make alternative arrangements and you will still be charged for the transfer booked.

Health Restrictions

If you are currently pregnant, or under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must provide a Doctor’s certificate confirming your fitness to travel and take part in the retreat as well as notifying Juicy Oasis. Juicy Oasis is unfortunately not suitable for those with psychiatric or deep emotional issues or those looking for counselling or therapy, as our team are not professionally qualified in these areas. Our team are also not medically trained and do not know your medical history so cannot offer any specific medical advice whilst at the retreat.

Please note: we offer a standard juice plan to all guests and do not offer bespoke or tailored juices. We are able to cater for allergies/intolerances by omitting certain ingredients from recipes, but kindly be aware that if guests have extensive allergies, juice combinations may be limited as a result and we do need to know as soon as possible ahead of the stay.

***All health issues including allergies MUST be disclosed at the time of booking and/or prior to your stay.***

Our retreat is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years or for people with physical disabilities that cannot take care or responsibility for themselves as we do not have the resources or expertise. We have one disabled room with wheelchair access, but there are areas of the retreat that people with mobility issues may not be able to access.

Robes/damages

In all of our rooms you will find 2 x robes if these are no longer in your room after you depart from the hotel we will automatically charge your registered card for the retail price of the robe/s.

If you damage your room or any of the property within your room we will automatically deduct the cost of repairing / replacing / redecorating from your registered card.

Comments and complaints

If you feel unwell or are not happy with the retreat for any reason, please tell your Retreat or Hotel Manager immediately and we will endeavour to take whatever action is required. Please bear in mind that any claims may be rejected if we are not given the opportunity to put matters right during your stay. You are also welcome to email the retreats team in the UK office, during your stay if you do not feel comfortable addressing any matters at the retreat.

Adding a guest to your booking

If you wish to add a guest to your booking, please note that we have a maximum capacity of guests that we can accommodate on site. If we have not reached capacity we would be happy to add a guest to your booking, however once we have reached the maximum number of guests unfortunately we would not be able to add any further guests at that time. We always recommend to confirm any changes as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment. At the point of booking, we can highlight your details if you are looking to add a guest, in order to let you know when we are approaching our maximum capacity if you wish. Please note that places are only secured on receipt of payment.

Exclusions

All information provided on the website and any written and verbal form of correspondence is correct at the time of publication. However, due to mechanical faults, weather conditions, or what insurers call ‘Acts of God’, some amenities may be temporarily unavailable. Very occasionally, we may have to vary the advertised programme due to staff sickness or other unforeseen problems, in which case we will always try to provide an equivalent replacement. This may not always be possible. For example, if our Yoga Instructor becomes unwell on day 3 of the retreat, it is likely that it will be too short notice to find another and Yoga may well be cancelled. This is extremely rare, but could happen. The same applies to any of the activities. Please note we rebound outside, so if the heavens open, rebounding will be cancelled. Clearly we will always do our level best to make sure all activities go ahead if possible. We would also like to point out that the Juicy Oasis team can change at any time and although we will always endeavour to have a suitable replacement there will be no compensation for the change in team member.

Team Members and Classes:

In the event of one of the team members becoming injured, ill or any emergency situation that forces them to leave the retreat, then this may impact on the retreat plan, in terms of the yoga or fitness classes or manager talks being cancelled. We will do whatever we can to adapt to the situation and reduce the impact this may have on your retreat experience, however we may not be able to get a substitute team member out. The retreat will continue to run however things will be adjusted to reflect the team situation. There will be no refunds or compensation to reflect the change in team situation.

Juicy Oasis will not accept liability for:

Check that your holiday insurance policy covers these and other contingencies.

Summer/Winter Programmes

During the winter months we will be replacing the final juice of the day with a beautiful homemade soup, made with local and organic (where possible) produce. This is subject to weather conditions but we estimate that it will be usually introduced around the start of October until April. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the winter programme in the summer months or vice versa.
